Are you finding that your mind is often occupied with the stresses of modern life and that you are worrying about everything?
A solution could be to learn how to train your mind to live in the now and relieve anxiety with mindfulness and meditation.
It’s as simple as finding somewhere quiet to sit.
It is a means of enabling anyone to move forwards on a journey bringing a sense of peace, calm and ultimately happiness.
Meditation is a state of consciousness in which a person goes deep within themselves, focusing the mind and eliminating outside influences to produce a sense of deep peace and relaxation.
The ability to listen to one’s own thoughts and to observe the mind, body and spirit is created.
Meditation has the potential to enhance your life, enabling the study of yourself, seeing how and why you respond, noticing the beauty of your environment, building a deeper appreciation for the people around you and allowing you to be in your present, ever changing existence.

A bit about me!
I’m a single mum of two and have dedicated my time to bringing up my family, including caring for my eldest daughter who has autism and learning difficulties.
I trained as a beauty therapist in 2006/07 and I returned to college to focus on massage therapy in 2015. I was particularly drawn to holistic massage such as Indian Head and also to studying the anatomy and physiology of the human body. I’ve always had an interest in complementary therapies and the holistic approach, looking at the individual as a whole. Meditation is something I’ve dipped in and out of for the last 10 years and it has helped me on my journey of self healing during life’s challenging times. It has reawakened that passion in me of helping others on their healing journey.
I attended a regular relaxation class and enjoyed the feeling of being with this group of people on a weekly basis, allowing myself that time where I could let go of everything, be myself and relax. It was so refreshing. I discovered that a group of like minded people coming together on a regular basis could become a powerful experience.
It’s this that picks you up when your wings forget how to fly.
I was asked to lead the session one week and it felt very natural and it was apparent that I had the ability to create a healing space for people. I had a light bulb moment about going to train to teach meditation. With the support of my teacher this became possible and I went to Manchester to do a course run by Gateway Workshops, a training school for massage, beauty & healing.
I feel it is so important for our health and well being, to take time to nurture the mind, body and soul and I’d like to share this with you.
Starting on Friday 18th Oct and running through to Friday 22nd Nov (6weeks) I will be running sessions at Sole to Soul on Fridays from 2.30 to 3.45. The cost is £8 per session if booked/paid upfront or £10 for drop in/pay as you go.
