Reflexology and Standing Reflexology with Marie Rayner

Marie believes that nothing happens by chance and that symptoms in the body are an expression of an imbalance (dis-ease) somewhere else in your being. She uses touch together with an inner listening to her centre (her 7th sense) to be guided to the priority area(s) to be worked with in any session. She then uses her Reflexology skills to help you to release those energies that no longer serve you well. She may also be guided to dowse using Universal Balancing Charts to aid this process.

REFLEXOLOGY

Here Marie  uses her hands to stimulate reflex areas on your feet (or hands). These areas correspond to and have an effect in various parts of your body. She usually begin a session with Standing Reflexology where she kneels down and you stand up while she spends about 5 minutes giving you a quick, dynamic whole body work out. (How can you feel this relaxed without falling over?) And then you get to lie down while she work all the reflexes again, but this time more slowly, allowing a feeling of deep relaxation and peace to develop.

STANDING REFLEXOLOGY

This is a relatively new way of working with the body’s reflexes and was pioneered by Lynne Booth. (She calls it Vertical Reflex Therapy)

Marie works with you either standing or sitting with some weight being taken by the foot – or if you can’t bear to have your feet touched she can work with your hands!

She accesses the reflexes through the top and sides of your feet, sometimes working both feet together, at other times alternating from one foot to the other.

It is a very powerful therapy and Marie believes that it is particularly effective because you, and the energies we are working with, are “earthed”. For this reason Standing Reflexology needs only to last for a few minutes.

It can even be used on its own – very useful in an emergency! However it is often combined with “lying down” reflexology, or a half body Finger Pressure Massage.

After any session, Marie may give you “homework” of exercises (which may be practical, mental, energetic or emotional) to support and supplement the Reflexology you have experienced.
